Steamexfire for suppressing coal mine fires

The suppression of underground coal mine fires can be achieved by using a high flow inert gas generator like the Steamexfire.

The Steamexfire is an inert gas generator, suitable for inertising of enclosed spaces, for example an underground coal mine.
This inertisation device that produces a mixture of combustion products with water vapour and steam, with a minimum content of oxygen at a temperature of approx. 80° to 90° Celsius. In simple words, it’s a generator that produces very large quantities of inert gas.

The Inert Steamexfire takes away two of the three elements of the fire: oxygen and heat.
Steamexfire systems can suppress fires in enclosed environments like:
  • Coal mines.
  • Container ships.
  • Tunnels.
  • Warehouses.
  • Underground coal mine.
  • Etc.
